In Friday's non-league outing, the Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) basketball squad nipped the visiting Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ), by a margin of 39-35.
The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Steinert (Hamilton, NJ). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Steinert got by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NJ), 34-29, in a league outing.
The Braves now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Neptune for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 6. Manalapan will clash with a Scarlet Fliers squad coming off a 65-23 non-league win over Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ). The Scarlet Fliers record now stands at 7-3.
