Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sutherlin upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Glide (Glide, OR) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Far West bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 6-4.

In their next game, the Pirates meet the Hidden Valley Mustangs (Grants Pass, OR) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 6. Marshfield will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 4-9 record after their 39-32 non-league win over Yreka (Yreka, CA).
