The Penn Wood Patriots basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Martin Luther King Cougars to 8 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Interboro for a Delaware Valley contest on Tuesday, January 9. Penn Wood will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 40-26 league win over Chichester (Boothwyn, PA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-7.
The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Paul Robeson (Philadelphia, PA). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Paul Robeson triumphed over South Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA), 33-16, in a non-league contest.
