Pioneer Valley Regional Panthers (Northfield, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting McCann Tech Hornets (North Adams, MA), 55-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pioneer Valley Regional upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA) to play the Beavers in a Franklin - South bout on Monday, January 8. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Hornets play the Mount Everett Regional Eagles (Sheffield, MA) in a Franklin - West bout, on Monday, January 8. McCann Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
