The Morton Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Scott Central Rebels to 25 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Morton will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 39-19 non-league win over Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-6.

The Rebels (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against French Camp Academy (French Camp, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, French Camp Academy was routed by Noxapater (Noxapater, MS), 41-32, in a league contest.
