The Nowata Ironmen basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Mounds Golden Eagles to 29 in the Ironmen non-league triumph on Friday.

The Ironmen now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ketchum for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Nowata will battle a Warriors team coming off a 45-43 league win over Foyil (Foyil, OK). The Warriors record now stands at 5-5.

The Golden Eagles (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Foyil (Foyil, OK). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Foyil was defeated by Ketchum (Ketchum, OK), 45-43, in a league contest.
