The Wayne Falcons basketball team (Corydon, IA), was overwhelmed 77-27 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA)
The Wolverines now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Albert for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. Nodaway Valley will confront a Falcons team coming off a 64-51 league win over Harlan (Harlan, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-1.
The Falcons (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Central Decatur (Leon, IA). The Cardinals come into the Pride of Iowa - East battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Central Decatur was overwhelmed by Davis County (Bloomfield, IA), 61-41, in a non-league battle.
