Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Wahkiakum Mules (Cathlamet, WA), 59-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rainier upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Raymond/South Bend (Raymond, WA) to play the Ravens in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Ravens come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Raymond/South Bend lost 46-42 in their recent non-league bout against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, WA)

Next up, the Mules play the Adna Pirates (Adna, WA) in a 2B Central bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Wahkiakum will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 67-13 league win over Winlock (Winlock, WA).
