Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI), 37-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Roosevelt upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Allen Park (Allen Park, MI) to play the Jaguars in a Downriver bout on Thursday, January 11. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 2-6. Allen Park lost 40-28 in their recent non-league bout against Grosse Ile (Grosse Ile, MI)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Greenhills Gryphons (Ann Arbor, MI) in a Catholic C-D D bout, on Thursday, January 11. Richard will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
