In Friday's non-league outing, the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Thrive Academy Bulldogs (Baton Rouge, LA), by a count of 54-8.
The Eagles (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Comets go into the non-league outing with a 2-16 record. In their last outing, St. Charles Catholic was crushed by Houma Christian (Houma, LA), 37-27, in a non-league outing.
