West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 37-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Valley upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Eagles host Shasta (Redding, CA) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Corning will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 34-20 non-league loss to Pioneer (Woodland, CA).
