The Northeastern Eagles tipped the host Catholic Crusaders basketball team by a final score of 57-53 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 10. Northeastern will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC).

With the defeat, Catholic moves to 8-2 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA) to face the Ambassadors in a game on Thursday, January 11. The Ambassadors enter the game with a record of 9-0.
