Tipton Blue Devils (Tipton, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maconaquah Braves (Bunker Hill, IN), 57-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tipton upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Blue Devils host Wabash (Wabash, IN) to play the Apaches in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Apaches go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Wabash won 53-21 in their recent non-league bout against Muncie Burris (Muncie, IN)

Next up, the Braves play the Peru Tigers (Peru, IN) in a bout, on Friday, January 12. Maconaquah will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 63-34 non-league win over Fort Wayne Snider (Fort Wayne, IN).
