The Mission Hills Grizzlies (San Marcos, CA) basketball felled the visiting Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 51-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Grizzlies (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Ramona (Ramona, CA). The Bulldogs go into the test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Ramona was beaten by Point Loma (San Diego, CA), 62-37, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Montgomery for a test on Wednesday, January 10. Otay Ranch will encounter a Aztecs squad coming off a 48-31 non-league win over Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 4-3.
