Washington High School Basketball - Royal can't hold off Zillah

The Zillah Leopards basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Royal Knights to 47 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Connell for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Zillah will battle a Eagles team coming off a 33-25 non-league loss to Kiona-Benton (Benton City, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-6.

The Knights (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against La Salle (Union Gap, WA). The Lightning enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, La Salle was nudged by Wapato (Wapato, WA), 64-42, in a non-league contest.
