The Mount Vernon Knights basketball team scored 78 points and limited the host Holy Trinity Titans to 50 in the Knights non-league triumph on Sunday.

The Knights now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to New Rochelle for a Section 1 Conference 1C game on Wednesday, January 15.

With the loss, Holy Trinity falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY) to confront the Cougars in a Catholic Nassau Suffolk game on Tuesday, January 7. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 1-2. St. John the Baptist lost 62-44 in their recent non-league game against East Meadow (East Meadow, NY)
