With the win, Cody upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Comets host Douglass (Detroit, MI) to play the Hurricanes in a Detroit Public II bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Douglass won 85-55 in their recent league bout against Osborn (Detroit, MI)

Next up, the play the Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles (Detroit, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Academy of the Americas will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record.
