In Friday's non-league outing, the Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX) basketball squad beat the host Anthony Wildcats (Anthony, TX), by a count of 71-52.

The Highlanders (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Knights go into the 5A Region I District 2 outing with a 16-6 record.

The Wildcats now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to McCamey for a 2A Region I District 6 outing on Friday, January 13. Anthony will clash with a Badgers squad coming off a 53-36 non-league loss to Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 7-9.
