Troy Colts (Troy, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI), 70-69 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Troy upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Colts travel to Clarkston (Clarkston, MI) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Clarkston won 34-31 in their recent non-league bout against Lakeland (White Lake, MI)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Seaholm Maples (Birmingham, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Avondale will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Maples go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 40-25 non-league loss to Groves (Beverly Hills, MI).
