Bridgeport Bulls (Bridgeport, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mineral Wells Rams (Mineral Wells, TX), 36-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bridgeport upgrades its record to 5-17 on the season. The Bulls host Lake Worth (Lake Worth, TX) to play the Bullfrogs in a 4A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bullfrogs go into the bout with a record of 12-9.

Next up, the Rams play the Frost Polar Bears (Frost, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Mineral Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 9-16 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 49-18 non-league win over Kopperl (Kopperl, TX).
