The John Adams Academy Patriots (Roseville, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Buckingham Charter Knights (Vacaville, CA), 72-67 in Friday's non-league test.

The Patriots (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Fortune Early College (Sacramento, CA). The Panthers go into the Northern Pacific Athletic Conference test with a 6-6 record.

The Knights now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they host Valley Christian for a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League test on Monday, January 9. Buckingham Charter will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 83-73 non-league loss to Colusa (Colusa, CA). The Lions record now stands at 10-6.
