Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD) and the host Burke Cougars (Burke, SD), saw Centerville's basketball squad hold off Burke by a tally of 54-52.

With the victory, Centerville improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Scotland (Scotland, SD) to confront the Highlanders in a B Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Gregory Gorillas (Gregory, SD) in a B Region 5 battle, on Friday, January 13. Burke will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
