East Windsor Panthers (East Windsor, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT), 52-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Windsor upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Panthers host Ellington (Ellington, CT) to play the Knights in a North Central Connecticut bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Ellington won 60-48 in their recent league bout against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the O'Brien RVT Condors (Ansonia, CT) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Housatonic-Wamogo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Condors go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 86-48 league win over Wilcox RVT (Meriden, CT).
