Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Oldham County Colonels (Buckner, KY), 69-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eastern upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) to play the Crimsons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Crimsons come into the bout with a record of 7-8. DuPont Manual lost 70-47 in their recent non-league bout against Butler (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Colonels play the McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Oldham County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 56-43 non-league win over Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY).
