The Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Lawrence Cardinals to 43 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame for a Colonial Valley contest on Tuesday, January 10. Hopewell Valley Central will meet a Irish team coming off a 60-43 non-league loss to Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ). The Irish record now stands at 6-3.

The Cardinals (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Rumson-Fair Haven was nudged by Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
