Texas High School Basketball - Pottsboro knocked off by LaPoynor

The LaPoynor Flyers basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Pottsboro Cardinals to 61 in the Flyers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Flyers now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cayuga for a 2A Region III District 19 contest on Friday, January 13. LaPoynor will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 42-41 non-league win over Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-7.

The Cardinals (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bells (Bells, TX). The Panthers enter the 3A Region II District 11 contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Bells ran past Bonham (Bonham, TX), 70-37, in a league contest.
