The Midland Timberwolves basketball team (Varna, IL), was nudged 54-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL)

The Minutemen now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cornerstone Christian for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 7. Lexington will confront a Cyclones team coming off a 61-54 non-league loss to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 9-4.

The Timberwolves (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Earlville (Earlville, IL). The Red Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Earlville edged Amboy (Amboy, IL), 43-31, in a non-league battle.
