The New Salem Holsteins tipped the visiting Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions basketball team by a final score of 44-40 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Holsteins face the Max Cossacks (Max, ND) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 12. New Salem will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.

With the defeat, Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock moves to 2-2 on the year. The Lions host Oakes (Oakes, ND) to face the Tornadoes in a B Region 3 District 5 game on Thursday, February 16. The Tornadoes enter the game with a record of 2-6.
