In Friday's league outing, the Lund Mustangs (Lund, NV) basketball squad edged the host Round Mountain Knights (Round Mountain, NV), by a count of 59-54.

The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Tonopah (Tonopah, NV). The Muckers go into the 1A Central outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Tonopah held off Pahranagat Valley (Alamo, NV), 45-36, in a league outing.

The Knights now hold a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mineral County for a 1A Central outing on Saturday, January 7. Round Mountain will clash with a Serpents squad coming off a 53-42 league win over Beatty (Beatty, NV). The Serpents record now stands at 11-3.
