New York High School Basketball - Newfield can't hold off Riverhead

The Newfield Wolverines basketball team (Selden, NY), was nudged 64-63 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Riverhead Blue Waves (Riverhead, NY)
The Blue Waves now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Connetquot for a Section 11 AA-2 battle on Monday, January 9. Riverhead will battle a T-Birds team coming off a 62-59 league win over Centereach (Centereach, NY). The T-Birds record now stands at 1-0.
The Wolverines (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Marathon (Marathon, NY). The Olympians come into the non-league battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Marathon was nudged by Groton (Groton, NY), 57-46, in a league battle.
