In Friday's non-league outing, the Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA), by a margin of 58-57.

The Trojans (5-14) will now prepare for their outing against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Griffins go into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Dutchtown was tipped by White Castle (White Castle, LA), 43-40, in a non-league outing.

The Raiders now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Beau Chene for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 10. Northwest will clash with a Gators squad coming off a 64-49 non-league win over Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Gators record now stands at 12-10.
