Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), 56-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Western Dubuque upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Iowa City (Iowa City, IA) to play the Little Hawks in a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Little Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Warriors play the Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Grayhounds come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 80-41 non-league loss to Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA).
