Freshman Opponent (, ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Calvary Baptist Church Academy Knights (Glen Burnie, MD), 31-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freshman Opponent upgrades its record to 30-53 on the season. The host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to clash with the Desert Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Desert Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Santa Teresa won 43-34 in their recent non-league bout against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers (Baltimore, MD) in a bout, on Monday, January 9. Calvary Baptist Church Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
