Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Orland Trojans (Orland, CA), 47-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Yreka upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Las Plumas (Oroville, CA) to play the Thunderbirds in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Las Plumas lost 48-41 in their recent non-league bout against West Valley (Cottonwood, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Oroville Tigers (Oroville, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 12. Orland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
