In Friday's non-league outing, the Summit Academy Dragons (Romulus, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Academy for Business & Tech Gators (Melvindale, MI), by a margin of 50-15.

The Dragons (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Henry Ford Academy (Dearborn, MI). The Navigators go into the non-league outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Henry Ford Academy was trounced by Michigan Collegiate (Warren, MI), 35-19, in a non-league outing.
