Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Berea Pirates (Berea, KY), 47-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln County upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Patriots host Garrard County (Lancaster, KY) to play the Golden Lions in a District 45 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Golden Lions come into the bout with a record of 1-9. Garrard County won 64-37 in their recent non-league bout against Burgin (Burgin, KY)

Next up, the Pirates play the Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Berea will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 67-29 league win over Jackson City (Jackson, KY).
