Plainview Hornets (Glenmora, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bolton Bears (Alexandria, LA), 55-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Plainview upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Hornets travel to Northside Christian (Crowley, LA) to play the Warriors in a C District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Bears play the Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) in a 3A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Bolton will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 66-53 non-league loss to Merryville (Merryville, LA).
