Maryland High School Basketball - Northern can't hold off Chopticon

The Chopticon Braves basketball team scored 25 points and held the visiting Northern Patriots to 24 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.

The Braves now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McDonough for a Southern Maryland contest on Monday, January 9. Chopticon will battle a Rams team coming off a 59-14 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Rams record now stands at 3-1.

The Patriots (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hornets enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Great Mills was nudged by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 42-37, in a league contest.
