Nebraska High School Basketball - Fremont holds off Columbus

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE) and the host Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE), saw Fremont's basketball squad hold off Columbus by a tally of 41-35.

With the victory, Fremont advances its record to 4-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE) to encounter the Spartans in a A District TBD outing on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 5-3. Lincoln East won 50-37 in their recent league outing against Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE)

The Discoverers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Pius X for a A District TBD outing on Saturday, January 7. Columbus will encounter a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 61-17 league win over North Platte (North Platte, NE). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 8-1.
