The Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) basketball nipped the host Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL), 48-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles go into the West Suburban - Gold test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Leyden was tipped by Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL), 53-28, in a league test.
The Red Devils now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Downers Grove North for a West Suburban - Silver test on Tuesday, January 10. Hinsdale Central will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 42-37 non-league win over St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 13-5.
