In Friday's non-league outing, the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) basketball squad beat the visiting North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS), by a count of 58-50.

The Urchins (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Cardinals go into the 2A Region 1 outing with a 13-5 record. In their last outing, Belmont defeated Red Bay (Red Bay, AL), 78-29, in a non-league outing.
