In Friday's non-league outing, the Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) basketball squad edged the host McCook Bison (McCook, NE), by a count of 42-38.

The Swedes (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Centura (Cairo, NE). The Centurions go into the non-league outing with a 10-0 record. In their last outing, Centura held off Howells-Dodge (Howells, NE), 55-37, in a non-league outing.
