The Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH) basketball nipped the host Trinity Trojans (Garfield Heights, OH), 48-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Crestwood (Mantua, OH). The Red Devils go into the Chagrin Valley - Valley test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Crestwood was tipped by Field (Mogadore, OH), 65-41, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Open Door Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Trinity will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 40-29 league win over Medina Christian Academy (Medina, OH). The Patriots record now stands at 2-2.
