Pinckney Pirates (Pinckney, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI), 42-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pinckney upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Pirates travel to Chelsea (Chelsea, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a Southeastern - White bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Chelsea won 63-33 in their recent non-league bout against Williamston (Williamston, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
