The Zuni Thunderbirds basketball team (Zuni, NM), was nudged 50-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Menaul Panthers (Albuquerque, NM)
The Panthers now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to To'hajiilee for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 7. Menaul will confront a Warriors team coming off a 58-11 non-league win over Native American Community Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 13-1.
The Thunderbirds (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles come into the 3A District 1 battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Navajo Prep was nudged by Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM), 67-16, in a non-league battle.
