The Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) basketball crushed the visiting Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), 68-8 in Friday's non-league test.
The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO). The Bruins go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Cherry Creek was trounced by Regis Jesuit (Aurora, CO), 57-6, in a non-league test.
The Kadets now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to ThunderRidge for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Air Academy will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 45-38 non-league win over Rocky Mountain (Fort Collins, CO). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-1.
