Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA), 51-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Branham upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Bruins host Pioneer (San Jose, CA) to clash with the Mustangs in a bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Pioneer won 42-18 in their recent non-league bout against Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA)

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the Willow Glen Rams (San Jose, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Leigh will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
