Berthoud Spartans (Berthoud, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Liberty Common Eagles (Fort Collins, CO), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Berthoud upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Spartans host Eaton (Eaton, CO) to play the Reds in a bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Reds go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Eaton won 60-45 in their recent non-league bout against Platte Valley (Kersey, CO)

Next up, the Eagles play the Peak to Peak Pumas (Lafayette, CO) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Liberty Common will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Pumas go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 79-36 league loss to Kent Denver (Englewood, CO).
