Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN), 27-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chattanooga Central upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Pounders travel to East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 1-0. East Hamilton won 69-32 in their recent non-league bout against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Hixson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
