Dr. Phillips Panthers (Orlando, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host University Cougars (Orlando, FL), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dr. Phillips upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Winter Park (Winter Park, FL) to play the Wildcats in a bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Cougars play the Melbourne Bulldogs (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. University will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
